What My Clients Say....

Emily's Feedback

I just had a hypnotherapy session with Karen Blakesley and it was genuinely amazing.

A couple of weeks ago, we had a conversation where we really dug into everything that was going on in my head—my guilt, my concerns, and the shame I’ve carried around money. She took all of that and used it to create a personalised hypnotherapy meditation. I’m not even sure if I was technically ‘hypnotised’, but I’ve come out of it feeling energised, grounded, powerful, and incredibly compassionate towards the version of me who used to overspend. (And look at that—I just said used to.)

If there’s something you’d like to feel better about, or a pattern you want to shift, I’d absolutely recommend Karen. Thank you so much. This was amazing.

As a complete beginner to hypnosis, I was a little nervous at first—but Karen immediately put me at ease. She explained everything clearly, listened without judgement, and made the whole experience feel safe and supportive.

At the time, I was under a lot of pressure launching a new business. Karen helped me see how important it was to pause and find some balance. Her voice is beautifully calming, and her personalised hypnosis recordings became such a helpful tool between sessions.

I felt truly heard—she remembered the smallest details and gave me clear, practical techniques I still use whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed. Each session brought a real sense of relief, and I’d highly recommend working with her.

I really appreciated Karen’s calm and grounded manner. She listened with empathy and gently kept me on track—which was especially helpful, as I tend to use humour or tangents to avoid difficult thoughts. Karen handled this with such skill: she helped me stay with the important stuff without ever being harsh or making me feel judged.

She struck a brilliant balance—open and warm, but never making the session about her. That helped me feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood. She was also great at helping me articulate things I hadn’t quite worked out myself, asking thoughtful follow-up questions and giving me time to think without pressure.

The realisations came both during and after the sessions, often as I reflected or worked through the exercises she gave me. She never told me what to think—she simply guided me towards insights, and helped me connect them to my actions and responses. One big shift was understanding how stress affects my ability to think clearly. Karen gave me tools to calm down and ground myself, which made a massive difference—especially before a stand-up gig when I felt like I was having a heart attack!

We started with one issue, but what I really gained was a way to approach challenges differently. I’ve learnt to pause, regulate, and be more compassionate with myself and others. That change in perspective has been genuinely life-changing.
